According to international requirements to educational systems, the key goals of educational field are:

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is a combination of mutually related and interacting elements for management of organization in terms of quality.
The goals of implementation of quality management system in the L.N. Gumilyov ENU are:
- demonstration of ability to ensure educational services up to the requirements of concerned parties, legislative and regulating requirements;
- ensuring the warranty of permanent quality of educational services;
- identification and meeting the requirements, expectations of the parties concerned.
Quality management system at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU contributes to:
- satisfaction of existing and expected wants of economy and society of the Republic of Kazakhstan for competitive specialists;
- creation of innovation environment adequate to innovations in the field of science and technology;
- identification and management of numerous interconnected processes to raise efficiency and productivity of activity;
- cost optimization by means of productive and efficient use of resources;
- getting advantage at the expense of constant improvement of opportunities;
- ensuring certainty of the parties concerned in productivity and efficiency justified by financial and social advantages of activity, quality of educational services and reputation.
Motivation of creation of quality management system in the L.N. Gumilyov ENU:
a) internal motivation:
- improvement of conditions of professional, social and ethic training of students at the expense of lowering variability of the processes of Quality Management System;
- raising responsibility of all the officials of the university for quality of education;
- reduction of unproductive costs;
- improvement of culture, infrastructure and manufacturing environment of the university;
b) external motivation:
- competitive ability of the university at the domestic and foreign markets of educational services;
- promotion of rating of the university and specialties;
- raising the level of satisfaction of all the consumers of educational services;
- constant improvement of processes of operation of the university to receive state order.
The field of application of Quality Management System extends to educational activities on training specialists with higher and postgraduate professional education in accordance with state obligatory standards of higher professional education by specialties and directions under the field of licensing.
Quality management system of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU corresponds to the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and doesn’t have any exceptions.
Quality management system of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU has been documented, introduced and is supported in operative condition in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in the context of operating organization chart of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
The L.N. Gumilyov ENU performs planning and carries out the processes of monitoring, measurement and improvement with the purpose of demonstration of correspondence of educational services to the requirements of the SOSE and consumers requirements, ensuring correspondence of quality management system and constant raise of its efficiency.
