According to the academic programme regulations of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University as dated from 22 June 2010 eligible candidates for PhD studies should have a Master’s degree, have published academic papers and republic-level and international conference proceedings. In some cases applicants who have the academic degree of ‘specialist’ are also accepted to apply for a PhD programme study.

According to the state education standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan 5.04.034-2008 postgraduate education - PhD programme. The basic principle in article 7.4 states that the PhD programme is carried out full-time. The study period of the PhD programme lasts for at least 3 years. In other words, we don’t offer distance-based education on the PhD programme.
