The main goal of the Jean Monet EURODIP Chair is academic assistance in the dissemination and promotion of European values, ideas of European integration, European diplomacy in the Eurasian space, in particular, in Kazakhstan and other countries of Central Asia.
To achieve this goal it is necessary to implement the following tasks:
- Formation of understanding, profound knowledge of evolution, achievements and current issues of European integration and diplomacy among students of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan.
- To give impetus to research on European diplomacy and foreign policy at universities in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
- Improving the quality of teaching disciplines on European integration, diplomacy at universities in Kazakhstan by providing relevant information, providing methodological support to teachers.
- Contribute to the further promotion of European values, recognition of the achievements of the European Union in Kazakhstan society and the Central Asian space through the available media resources.
The goals and objectives will be achieved by organizing round tables, webinars, summer and distance courses on European topics for all comers, with particular attention paid to teachers of regional universities; through academic mobility of teachers, conducting research on topical issues of European integration and European diplomacy, preparation and publication of scientific and methodical works. It is assumed that the competition of research works of students on the problems of the EU will cause interest among young people to these issues. All the activities of the department will be highlighted in the media.
The functioning of the department "EURODIP Jean Monnet" will provide an opportunity to focus on systematic, focused work on research, the dissemination of European knowledge, ideas among students, academic and general public at the national level. The implementation of the tasks facing the department will contribute to the development of student-oriented learning and the principles of problem education in our university. The development of academic disciplines will give impetus to improving job opportunities, career prospects for graduates of the faculty of international relations. Unique opportunities for close integration into the European scientific and educational space will be available for teachers, young researchers and civil servants through participation in round tables, summer schools, distance learning courses and other forms of cooperation, facilitating the exchange of experience with European training centers.
