13.04.2011 Meeting with the world champion in chess among juniors Dinara Saduakasova

 Kazakhstan chess player Dinara Saduakasova from Astana, has won the youth World championship on chess which took place in Greece, in the beginning of October, 2010. 1500 chess players from 87 countries of the world have taken part there, it passed in the Greek hotel Porto Karras on a resort of Chalkidiki. During a meeting the students have closer acquainted with Dinara and her mother who constantly accompanies her and is the instructor and the trainer. By the wish of numerous students, the faculty of Natural sciences has brought the offer on creation of student's studios of chess of Dinara Saduakasova, and at once defined and have confirmed the plan of work and have registered the students.

13.04.2011 Training-seminar

In the room 303 of the main building the training-seminar on development of module educational programs has taken place. One of the developers of the new program, who took an active part in it is the  senior lecturer of the ecology department Spanbayeva Z.S.

13.04.2011 From 4 to 9 April 2011 the week “Born in April” is taking place on FNS in the ENU named after Gumilyev, L.N.

Due to the perspective development plan of the faculty for 2010-2014, attraction of student's youth to active study-practical activities, showed interest of the PLS to social work, and also popularization of new directions in the field of natural sciences among other faculties, the FNS’s week in ENU named after Gumilyev L.N.  in relation to the faculty formation day (4th April 2009), named «Born in April» is taking place.

13.04.2011 The club of faculty ornithologists congratulates the members of the club and bird lovers with their holiday!

Today the faculty is the only one in Astana has a club of ornithologists, which successfully acts during 3 years

13.04.2011 Faculty of Natural sciences holds the consultations and registration on admission of entrants, masters and PhDs for the 2011-2012 study year.

Iteratively, the faculty of Natural sciences starting from the 5^th April 2011 every Thursday and Saturday from 10 am till 8 pm holds consultations and registration of admissions for study of entrants, masters and PhDs for the 2011-2012 study year. The courses/directions are the following: biotechnology, biology, chemistry, ecology, physical and economical geography.

13.04.2011 FNS carries out the health improving courses for students under the program “Health culture”

Starting from the 1st April (and it is not a joke) until 30^th April the scientists-physicians of the faculty of Natural sciences runs health improving courses under the program «Health culture»

The program purpose: formation of individual and population (the general and state) cultures of health; to teach students to be healthy

13.04.2011 Lecture of the professor of the Friedrich Schiller University (Jena, Germany)

In a room of the main block, our scientists, departments’ managers of the faculty have attended the lecture of the professor of the Friedrich Schiller university, the dean of the faculty of mathematics and computer science of Hans-Jurgen Shmajsera on a theme: «About an education system in Germany and other European countries (on a mathematics and computer science example). We have received useful information, now we know about their experience and we can apply for establishing the modular educational program.

13.04.2011 Our geography students are the best

28-29^th of March the Republican subject Olympiad among high education students on “geography” subject took place on a base of the Kaz NU named after Al-Farabi.

13.04.2011 A crystal drop of Baikal for memory

From March, 28th till April, 2nd at the faculty lectures of the doctor of geographical sciences, professor Endon Zhamjanovich Garmaev have took place. It is the first visit to our republic of the scientist from Buryatiya which is engaged in ecological system of Baikal lake and management of water resources of Siberia and Altai.

Students of the “geography” course have taken the 3^rd place on the Republican subject Olympiad on geography, which took place on a base of the ASU named after Abay.

05.04.2011 Our “Kyz-Zhibek” is the best!

On the regular university contest “Kyz Zhybek”, the 1^st year student, Sultangazina Aidana, has won the 3^rd place. The main peculiarity of our Aidana was that she could show herself on the scene as a professional, she managed to keep her head, and her “scene friends” and groupmates also did not let her down, and each of them managed to enter the role.

On the assembly hall scene of the faculty of social sciences the new direction of the student theater was presented – “Chicago” musical.

03.03.2011 Party meeting of the “NUR” branch on the faculties

25^th February in the assembly hall the party meeting took place where the address of the President of Kazakhstan was explained and the results of the ХІІІ Congress of “Nur Otan” party were summarized, among the primary party cells of the university: FNS, FCE, FDAFA and FPTS.
