In February, 2009 Philological faculty under the order of the rector of university was formed again it has brought new changes to the life, namely new scientific directions.

In 2009-2010 academic year alongside with former five specialities there were switched on 3 new (6N0205 - Philology: Turkish philology (speciality: written monuments of Turkish language, 6N0119 - Foreign language: 2 foreign languages, 6N0210 - Foreign philology). Due to above named specialities of Masters, commonwealth with МSU and МSLU there is an opportunity of reception of two diplomas.

For the research work management of postgraduates the known foreign scientists, Professors are invited: Yu. Shamiloglu (university of Wisconsin - Madison, USA), D. Rassel (Harward university, USA), E. Rigotti (university of Lugano, Switzerland), L. Salmon (university of Genun, Italy), N. Ostler (London university, Great Britain), I.A. Krayeva (МSLU, Russia) and so on.

The scientific conferences are regularly held at the faculty The International scientific - practical conference «Innovative technologies in the theory of both practice and teaching the language and literature: problems and ways of the decision»  recently was carried out (November 24-26, 2009.). The known scientists of the USA, Germany, India, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan took part in it, shared with practical experience in application of innovative technologies at training of language and literature in a higher school.

The participation of the students, postgraduates, teachers in conferences in various points of the country became traditional at faculty.

In 2009 one of the faculty achievement swas the recieving the grant under program Erasmus Mundus for training abroad of our 4 students.

The constant participations in international conferences, recieving of grants by students, winners every year are increased. Such clubs as the Linguists ХХI century, Алтын белгі, the Young Scientists, etc. are of great interest within students, and they are always ready to take part in scientific work.
