• Department of Production of building materials, components and structures was established on Jan. 29, 2010 by splitting the Department of Construction. The department includes 2 Doctors of Science, 5 Candidate of Science, 2 Ph.D. Department is headed by Doctor of technical science, Professor T.M. Baitasov, who is also dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

  Department "Production of building materials, components and structures" trains bachelors "Construction" and "Architecture" in cooperation with other departments of civil engineering faculty and the university.

  Training of specialists is carried out in accordance with state standards. Training is conducted in Kazakh and Russian languages. Laboratory facilities of the Department can conduct all kinds of lessons, the curriculum. The department has subsidiaries in manufacturing, which allows qualitatively conduct field trips.

  Teachers of the department read the general course of lectures "Building Materials-1", "Building Construction-1, 2". The department makes extensive use of computer technology in the learning process. A considerable amount of calculation of the course projects currently being carried out on the basis of modern software systems.

  The main scientific direction of the department are improving the technology of production of building materials, components and structures, investigation of building products and designs based on modified binders and the development of production technology, development of high-precision molding gypsum partition hollow thin-walled concrete block fillers on the basis of waste.
