Department of "Civil Engineering" is opened in 2000. The department is letting out on a speciality 050729 - "Civil Engineering", service for specialities "Architecture", "Design", "Standardization and certification". The chair has specialised on computer classes, audiences – laboratories. Preparation of experts is carried out according to State standards of specialities on a full-time course of study.

Now on department the knowledge and experience is transferred to rising generation by Honourable educator of RК, Cand.Tech.Sci., professor Bakenov B.B., Honourable educator of RК, Cand.Tech.Sci., the senior lecturer Kusainov M. K, Honourable builder РК, a Dr. Tech. Sci., the professor. Zhusupbekov A.Z.; a Dr. Tech. Sci., professor Musabaev T. T, Dr. Tech. Sci.. Bajtasov T.M., senior lecturers Kusainov M. K, Fendt B.E. and other known scientists – experts in republic and behind its boundary. There are also Doctors of PhD, Student of PhD and masters who is teaching in that department

Under textbooks and manuals of professor Tolkynbaeva T.A., Hamzina S.K., senior lecturer Fendta B.E., Kusainova M. K, shots of building specialities of all country prepare.

The standard documents developed by professors Hamzin S.K., BakenovB.B., senior lecturer Gordienko B.S. are guided designers and builders of our Republic.

Profesor Musabaev T.T.Kusainov M. K, senior lecturers Sonin A.M., Gordienko B.S., Bajtasov T.M. are recognised experts and advisers of unique city objects of Astana and its area.

Steppification on chair makes about 92 %. The chair occupies in the lead position among chairs of a building profile of the country.
