The Department was formed in February, 2009. 
The chief by Department is a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Ospanov K.N.
The share of the teachers having scientific degree makes 75 %.
This Department of is letting out on specialities:

This Department prepares Masters on the following specialities: 6N0109- Mathematics (education) and 6N0601- Mathematics (natural - scientific).
There is a post graduate course on specialities: « 01.01.01 - Mathematical Analysis » and « 01.01.02 -
 Differential Equations and Equations of Mathematical Physics».
The preparation of the Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) is conducted on a direction “01.01.00 – Mathematics”.
The management of the post-graduate students, masters-studenta and PhD students is carried out by the doctors of sciences, actively engaged by scientific job and having wide experience of research and pedagogical job.
All post-graduate students, masters-studenta and PhD students of Department act with the reports at scientific - practical seminars.

The characteristic of scientific activity

All scientific researches spent on detartment are devoted to urgent problems and are conducted under a scientific management conducting scientific, doctors of sciences on the following directions. 
1) The basic question in the general theory of regional tasks is reduced to the following: the equation and space of functions is given to which should belong the right part and decision. All regional conditions, for which the task is correct in the given space. (Scientific chief Otaelbaeyev M.) 
2) Such directions of the functional analysis and theory of the differential equations, as the spectral theory, theorem of an investment and theory applications, theory of expansion, the narrowing and regional tasks in the development as on sources of new problems base on sections of applied mathematics, among which the important place is borrowed calculus mathematics, with the equations gas- and hydrodynamics. The equations gasdynamics, calculus mathematics, and also mathematical questions of theoretical physics. (Scientific chief Otaelbaeyev M.)
3) The research of properties of the operators, such as fractional differentiation in various functional spaces, as the operator of fractional differentiation plays the large role in various tasks of the analysis, is especial in questions of applied mathematics. By virtue of strong singulation of the operators such as fractional differentiation now they are unsufficiently investigated. It is supposed to receive results on lim itation, compactness and spectral characteristics of such operators in weight spaces. (Scientific chief Oinarov R.). 
5) Research of weight additive and multiplicate estimations "of the «intermediate" operators having the important meanings(importance) in the theory of an investment, in the theory of the differential equations and in calculus mathematics. It is supposed, in particular, to receive in the terms весов a weight estimation intermediate derivative with the help of weight norm of the senior derivative and function.
