General information

Department of International Relations as an independent study organization was established in 2001. In different times during the short period of time of its functioning the department has served such specialities as “World Economy” and “Region Study”. By its staff’s number and serving contingent of students the department of International Relations is the biggest in the faculty and one of the important in the whole university.

Professor-teaching staff

Educational process of the department is realizing by its professor-teaching staff. Basic education of the PTS satisfy all the requirements of the speciality license. Teachers are running classes on Russian, Kazakh, English and German languages.

In 2009-10 total number of the professor-teaching staff of the department of International Relations reached 36 tutors. Among them there are 5 science doctors, 20 candidates of sciences, 19 associate professors, 1 Phd doctor and 3 holders of a master’s degree.

Educational process

Educational process of the department satisfy all the necessary external and internal documents on planning and rate setting of the educational process: GOSO of the RK from 2006, basic programs.

The department runs teaching of the following specialities:

-          050202 – International Relations – Bachelor (4 years) on Kazakh and Russian.

-          6N0202 – International Relations – Master’s Degree (1 and 2 years) on Kazakh and Russian.

In 2009-10 total number of students (Bachelors) reached 416 and 36 students of Master’s Degree.

Educational process of all forms and types supposes running educational, lecture, practice, SRSP and SRMP, organizing of educational practice, science-research work of students.
