Professional training in Chinese

Senior lecturer of the Department of Oriental studies Zhylkybekuly Bekhozha and teacher Bizhanova Diana from 18 to 28 November 2010 participated in an international professional training for teachers of Chinese language. Training was led by the Confucius Institute for the island of Hainan in Haikou. The training was attended by representatives from 16 Asian countries - China, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Japan, etc. In the course of the work of training teachers to present the latest methods of Chinese language teaching, have presented new educational materials.

The training was conducted at a high level, all the guests were housed in hotel, around which a beautiful landscape. The training was useful not only to improve teaching methods, but also to enhance international cooperation.

Еxamination of Japanese language

December 5, 2010 in KazEU named after Ryskulov in Almaty, an examination of the Japanese language. It is the only official exam to determine the level of knowledge of Japanese. For the first time this exam in Kazakhstan (and the whole of Central Asia) was held on Dec. 2, 2001.

Since our University to determine the level of knowledge of Japanese language exam passed 23 people, including: art. Professor G.K Uteulieva, teacher, N.B Sudyeva and the following students of the Faculty of International Relations, who are studying in the field of "Orientalism", "region" and "international relations": Group О-24: Akhmetzhanov A. When passing the exam in February - March 2011 will be issued a certificate confirming a certain level of knowledge of Japanese language.

Ush Biik: Mustafa Shokai, Baurzhan Momyshuly, Bekzat Sattarkhanov

On 22 of November “Erkin Dala” Public Foundation together with Culture Ministry organized a round table “Ush Biik: Mustafa Shokay, Baurzhan Momushulu, Bekzat Sattarkhanov” at the Faculty of International Relations of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian national university. Vice-rector Dikhan Kamzabekulu, dean of the Faculty of International Relations Pernebek Kurashovich, deputy dean on science Ainur Muhambetiyarovna, president of Republican “Sauap” public foundation Bakitbek Smagul, president of “Union of Azerbaijan cultural centers in Kazakhstan” Vidady Salakhov, deputy editor of the “Zhas Kazakh uni” newspaper Fazylbek Absattaruly, executive director of the Republican Debaters Association Timur Eginzhanov, poet and writer Tolynbek Abdraiym and students of International Relations and Law faculties has participated in the work of the round table.

Participation of Turkology department students in the national cultural concert

Turkology department students took part in national cultural centers concert «Mы едины» organized with the help of Ministry of Culture of RK and Social fund «Алтын күн». Students presenting Yunus Emre cultural centre succesfully have danced turkish national dance. They showed performance which taken place today before marriage in the house of the bright. Viewers liked it.

Visit of the center of “World of Turkology”

On the 21^st of October the tutor of the group of “Turkology” Usipbayeva Perisat with her students went to get acquainted with the center of “the world of Turkology” which was established in the Cultural Center of the President of RK.

Also, they got acquainted with a room after a famous statesman, turkologist, head of the Turkology Department, Director of the Cultural Center of the President Myrzatai Zholdasbekov.

The center made a great impression on the students of group.

Students meeting with Abdul Hamееd Alizai

October 19, 2010 at the World Forum of Spiritual Culture in 15.00 in Aud. 225 met the students of the Faculty of International Relations with Abdul Hamid Alizai (manager of contracts and personnel organization "Global Partnership for Afghanistan.")
This meeting was organized in the framework of Section IV of the Education in the III millennium "World Forum of Spiritual Culture, held in Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev. The meeting was attended by the leadership of faculty, headed by the dean of the faculty and students of the 4 courses. After the official part of the meeting, guests were invited to the banquet, organized by the faculty.

On 23 October, 2010 Dean of the Faculty of International Relations P.K. Umirzakov and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages FIR A.M. Esengalieva received the letter from Professor Abdul Hamid Alizai. In his letter, Professor expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with professors and teachers and students of FIR L.N.Gumilyov ENU and the desire for further cooperation.

Тhe meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italian Republic in Kazakhstan Mr. Bruno Antonio Pasquino

On 22th of October the International Relations Faculty hosted the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italian Republic in Kazakhstan Mr. Bruno Antonio Pasquino. The meeting organized by the Embassy and the Foreign Languages department was attended by other representatives of Italian Embassy and the Dean of IR faculty Mr. P. Umirzakhov. In his greeting speech Mr. Pasquino said that he was extremely glad to be here and speak his native language to an audience who can understand it. The Ambassador expressed acknowledgement to our university for long and fruitful ties with Italy and announced arrival of one more Italian lecturer in the nearest future.

The next person to take the chair was conductor Gerardo Colella, who has been working in the neighbouring Turkmenistan for 2 years and speaks good Russian. Mr. Colella noted that learning Italian is impossible without learning its culture, music and opera in particular. “Opera is our soul”, he said.

During the meeting the guests present watched a short documentary showing the picturesque island of Sardinia and learned about the founder of Italian painting art Djotto. The culmination of the evening was a short game of football played in the uniform of Italian football stars.

Тhe meeting with a famous Islamists, translator Valeria Mikhailovna Porokhova

October 20, 2010, students of the Faculty of International Relations took part in the meeting with a famous Islamists, translator Valeria Mikhailovna Porokhova in the Eurasian National University after L.N. Gumilyov. During the meeting, Iman Valeria Porokhova read a lecture about the Islam and told about how she had come to Islam, jihad, Quran Scientific Signs and Muslim women.

The second section of World Forum of Spiritual Culture

October 19, 2010 at the Palace of Independence during the World Forum of Spiritual Culture was held the meeting of the second section entitled "Social and moral responsibility of government."
Department of Region Studies of Faculty of International Relations in the face of doctoral Serikbayeva A.T and students Kamesheva Arailym and Sergazina Inara were directly involved into organizing the meeting of section.

In honor of the teacher and the celebration of the language on Oct. 2, 2010 in 209 Auditorium Building ULK of ENU named after L.N.Gumilev, was a concert organized by students majoring in Faculty of International Relations «Foreign philology: Turkish Language».

Festival guests were General Coordinator of the Turkish organization TIKA in Astana Dr.Omer Kodzhaman, Deputy Coordinator Hakan Sechilmish, as well as director of Yunus Emre Mustafa Altuk, as well as Associate Dean for Research of the FMO Nogayeva Ainur Muhanbetiyarovna and Acting Head of "Türkologists" Shaymerdinova Nurila Gabbasovna. The students prepared KVN, sang songs, danced, recited poetry in the Kazakh and Turkish languages. Students and teachers of the department "Türkologists" FMO had a great time.

At the end of the event Deputy Dean, Head of Department and coordinator of TIKA congratulated the students on the successful organization of the concert and wished further success.

7 October FMO was also the celebration and congratulation PPP faculty, organized by the Student akimat. Teachers with great pleasure listen to songs, poems and saw the Christmas tree. At a concert of congratulation addressed Dean FMO Umirzakov PK.

On the 15^th of September, 2010 at 4 o’clock L.N. Gumilyov ENU’s Postgraduate Department chief, the Professor, the Doctor of Law, Erbol Abaidildinov gave a lecture on the theme “The role of the main law in contemporary State”. The 1^st year students of the International Relations Faculty participated in this event.

On the 11^th of September at 15.00 the Deputy of the Senate of Parliament of the RK, the member of National Science Academy of RK, the Professor, Doctor of Philosophy Garifolla Essim gave a lecture on the theme «Kazakh people: the 2030-Strategy of Kazakhstan». The 1^st year students of the International Relations Faculty participated in this event.

On the 10^th of September, 2010 at 15.00 after L.N. Gumilyov ENU’s State – Law Research Institute’s Director deputy, the Doctor of Law Enilik Nurgalieva gave a lecture on the theme “Legal State – the role of law” . The 1^st year students of the International Relations Faculty were in audience.

In accordance with the approved work plan, the curators of all groups are held weekly curatorial hours. During the first semester of the academic year all first course students (Kazakh and Russian. Group) on the schedule visit the Museum of the Cultural Center of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Starting from the first year students of the Faculty actively participate in conferences, roundtables, lectures, held both at the faculty and the university as a whole.

On March 20, 2010 in the faculty of International Relations will be heldcelebration of Nauryz meiramy. It is planning to conduct a holiday show with the participation of students and the Students’ Affairs Committee.

According to the holiday activities will be held such contests as:

2. “The most tasty national dish”
3. “The best national song”
4. “The best national dance number”

On March 16, 2010 on the eve of holiday “Healthy way of life” will be held Flash mob with the participation of 50 students of the faculty. This activity is named “Ray of healthy”.

During February 20 and March 5, 2010 will be held university’s contest “Honorable mother”. All the teachers older than 35 years may participate in this contest.
