20-25 June at International Relations Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was held Summer School "Actual problems of International Relations". Second session was headed up Doctor, Professor, acting head of the Department of Turkic studies Shaimerdinova Nurila Gabbasovna.

22.06.2011 Foreign languages department’s teaching staff has attended the ACCELS seminar

Today the Philology faculty hosted the seminar organized by the Association of teachers of English of Astana, which was attended by the teachers of the foreign languages department. The seminar was presented by the Association representative Ms. I. Shubina and US Embassy Regional English Language Officer Mr. Harald Samuels.

22.06.2011 The third day of the IRF Summer School

Today the following lectures were held in the section Modernization of the international relations system:

- Research works in Kazakh language and literature made in Turkey, Turkic studies’ centers in Turkey, Common Turkic language, by PhD of Uludag University (Turkey) Minara Alieva Esen;

- The role of the Arabic world in international relations, by docent S. Tuleubayeva, ENU

- The theory of democratic world, by PhD of Hacettepe University (Turkey) A. Somunguoglu

- History of relationship between Russia and USA, by professor of Columbia University (USA) R. Abazov

21.06.2011 The meeting with the Lieutenant General of India Raj Kumar Karval

On the 21^st of June was held the meeting with the Lieutenant General of India Raj Kumar Karval with the teaching staff and students of International Relations Faculty. During the meeting Lieutenant General R.K. Karval delivered a lecture on the theme "The Rise of India as an emerging power".

21.06.2011 The opening of the summer school

On the 21^st of June the international summer school Actual Problems of International Relations opened in the IRF. The greeting speeches were delivered by the Vice-Rector Mr. D. Kamzabekuly and the FIR Dean Mr. P. Umirzakov. Also the chair was taken by the foreign guests of the school: Professor of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (Kyrgyzstan) Mr. K. Konkobayev, Professor of M. Sinan Fine Arts University (Turkey) Mr. A. Tashagyl and Рrofessor of Ege University (Turkey) Mr. G. Gulsevin, all of whom expressed their pleasure of being in Kazakhstan and having an opportunity to develop joint educational cooperation between our countries.

20-26 June, 2011 International Relations Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University will holds the Summer School "Actual Problems of International Relations".

17.06.2011 Participation of Marmontova T.V. in the second international conference

On the 10-12 of June, 2011, the second international conference on the problems of management of cultural heritage was held in Batumi. In the conference was took part Ph.D., associate professor of regional studies department Marmontova T.V. with the report on theme "Management of Cultural Heritage in Kazakhstan (Experience of the" Cultural Heritage ")". The conference was organized by University of Georgia. The conference was attended by scientists from Bulgaria, Germany, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Georgia.

16.06.2011 Zhanna T. Kulakhmetova took part in the international conference The 2nd Eurasian Silk Road Universities Convention (ESRUC)

On the 3-6^th of June, 2011 L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University represented by the senior teacher of Foreign Languages Department of the International Relations Faculty Zhanna T. Kulakhmetova took part in the international conference The 2^nd Eurasian Silk Road Universities Convention (ESRUC) held by the Ataturk University, Erzurum, Turkey. The conference was devoted to the theme Building Bridges in Higher Education: Seeking for a Eurasian Model and Developing ESRUC Consortium.

30.05.2011 Ethnodemographic processes in Kazakhstan and adjacent areas

26-27 May 2011 Marmontova T.V. took part in the 12th International Conference "Ethnodemographic processes in Kazakhstan and adjacent areas", which held in Ust-Kamenogorsk with the report on the theme "The Uzbek labor migration in the early 21st century: view of Kazakhstan. " The conference brought together scientists and experts from Barnaul, Irkutsk, Omsk, Almaty, Astana and Ust-Kamenogorsk.

26.05.2011 Nogaeva A.M. was awarded a letter of thanks

Deputy Dean of Science Nogaeva Aynur Muhanbetiyarovna was awarded a letter of thanks for the significant contribution to the organization VIІ International scientific conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists "Science and Education - 2011" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

25.05.2011 Senіmmen bolashakka

Students of the Faculty of International Relations, "International Relations": Dias Assiya, Zhanabayeva Madina, Duissenova Perizat and Kaztaeva Raushan were awarded the diplomas for their active participation in the exhibition of scientific projects "Senіmmen bolashakka", which held within the celebration of 15^th anniversary of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

21.05.2011 The meeting with Head of the Turkology Department of Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University V.N. Pidvoiniy

On the 20^th of May the Head of the Turkology Department of Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University Vlodimir Nikolayevich Pidvoiniy visited the Turkology Department of L.N. Gumilyev Eurasian National University.

In the framework of bilateral cooperation of the departments, the Turkology Department of KNU can render assistance to accomplishment an access to Central Archive for research works on Armenian and Kipchak writing monuments of Turkology Department of ENU.

21.05.2011 A meeting with Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

The Deputy of Committee on Budget of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleh Liashko met with the students and the teaching staff of International Relations Faculty of the Eurasian National University.

Acting Head of the Department of Regional Studies was named d.h.s., professor Syzdykov Satai Maksutovich.

12.05.2011 Future orientalist-arabist won the Grand Prix in the interdepartmental competition «Zhіgіt sultany»

On the 10^th of May the student of 2^nd course of Oriental Studies Department Tautanov Yernur won the Grand Prix in the interdepartmental competition “Zhіgіt sultany”, which was held between the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Philology.

06.05.2011 Student of FIR showed the good results in "Togyzkumalak"

Student of the 2-year of the Kazakh Branch, "International Relations" Baysarina Saulе showed good results in the fourth year of the student games on "Togyz kumalak" held in Pavlodar, and also received a letter of gratitude from the leadership of the sports club. Congratulations to Saulе, with the excellent sports results!

On the 27^th of April, 2011 well-known turkologists, invited professors of the International Turkological Symposium “Turkic World: History and the Present Time” as the director of Scientific Research Center of Hakas Language, Literature and History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Valentina Tuguzhekova, national writer of the Republic of Karachai- Cherkesk, Meritorious Cultural Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Isa Kopayev, the professor of St. Petersburg State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Sergei Klyashtorny, the professor of Turkological Institute of Berlin Independent University, Doctor of Philological Sciences Irina Nevskaya, head of the Department of Balsagun Kyrgyz National University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Shairkul Batyrbayeva, Doctor of Philological Sciences, professor Mukadas Mirza, Director of Mongolian Archeological Institute, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Damdinsuren Tsevandorzh, the ethno archeologist of History, Language and Literature of Udmurtya Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor Nadezhda Shutova gave very interesting lectures on different problems of Turkology to the students and postgraduate students of our University.

On April 27th, 2011 an open lesson on a theme «The USA Government» has been presented by senior teacher of the department of foreign languages, Faculty of international relations B.Sh.Kadrina. Group IR-21were participated to this lesson.
