At the end of the academic year, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (the Head of the Department E.A. Zhuravleva) conducted the VI International Scientific and Methodical Conference "Text in the System of Teaching Russian Language and Literature".
The purpose of the conference is to strengthen the scientific links between educational institutions for studying and teaching the Russian language in Kazakhstan, Russia and the world, getting acquainted with the latest developments in linguistics and methodology, and also summarizing the accumulated scientific and methodological experience. Topics covered include the following range of issues:
• Text as an object of linguistic research.
• Text and its functioning in a multicultural space.
• Text in the system of teaching the Russian language and new information technologies in teaching the language.
These aspects are connected with the priority direction of scientific research of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics.
Scientists from 6 countries representing educational institutions of Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Shymkent) and countries of near and far abroad have applied for participation in the conference: Russia (Kazan, Tula, Surgut, Murmansk), Slovakia (Bratislava), Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Karshi), Belarus (Minsk, Lida), China (Dalian), with which the Department of Theoretical and Applied linguistics maintains close scientific ties, carries out joint projects and conducts numerous events.
At the opening of the conference a welcoming speech was made by: Dean of the Faculty of Philology, prof. Sh.K. Zharkynbekova, adviser on education of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan А.А. Koropchenko, head of the department. Department of Foreign Languages and Business Communication of the Ural State Mining University L.G. Yusupova, the Head of the department. Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, prof. E.A. Zhuravleva. In his word AA. Koropchenko noted that many interesting events devoted to the development and functioning of the Russian language and literature are held at the ENU philological faculty, not only teachers but also undergraduates and students are involved in these activities.
At the Plenary session were heard the reports of Professor M.B. Nurtazina "Textual implementation of the concepts of naive ethics in the Russian language", The Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics E.A. Zhuravleva "Updated programs on pedagogical specialties: Russian language and literature", the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Business Communication, USMU (Russia) L.G. Yusupova "Teaching Russian at the Ural State Mining University", prof. A.E. Agmanova "Text as a basis for modeling intercultural communication", professor of the Kazakh branch of the Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov TV Krivoshapova "The Text of a Folk Tale in Modern Interpretation", Associate Professor Zh.A. Jambaeva "Creative approach to the process of teaching Russian in the university," the teachers of the Republican Physics and Mathematics School, L.O. Ilyasova "Speech competence in Russian language lessons through work with text". All the reports aroused the interest of the audience, many questions and a lively discussion.
Then the work continued on the sections, the participants were able to present their scientific research, presentations, answer questions.
At the final plenary session the results of the conference were summed up, the moderators of the sections made their reports.
For foreign guests, were organized excursions to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The cultural program also included a visit to the Museum of Literature, the Museum - Kabinet. Gumilev, personal classrooms of the philological faculty (named after Abai, the Pushkin room, the Polish Language and Culture Center), etc.
By the beginning of the conference the department published a collection of scientific articles of the conference participants.
