L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University scientific delegation consisting of: associate professor of the department of civil and environmental law, Ph.D doctor Muslim Khasenov; Senior Lecturer at the Department of International Relations Gulsum Kenzhalina, and Ph.D-Student at the Department of International Relations Moldir Bolysbekova, met with the Chairman of the EEC Board Tigran Sargsyan as part of the EEU academic exchange program.
The meeting was held on November 21, 2018 at the headquarter of the permanently operating supranational regulatory body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) - the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Moscow.
The event included a two-hour open and interactive dialogue of views on cutting edge issues of Eurasian integration. Young scientists received fundamental knowledge on both conceptual foundations, and on point patterns of the Union’s operation from first hand.
As Tigran Sargsyan noted, “You are the soft power” of the Union. There is no alternative to regional economic integration in the world. And the results that shows European Union is proof of that. Our countries must, above all, integrate intellectual potential. And only then can our unified efforts we will jointly find those niches in the global division of labor, where we will have comparative advantages in the knowledge production”.
It should be reminded that currently in Moscow at the Higher School of Economics as part of an academic exchange, there is a scientific group working on the development of the modern development paradigm of the Eurasian Economic Union consisting of 18 people from 5 EAEU countries. Kazakhstan is represented by 4 experts, 3 of whom are young scientists of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU (1 of them is Law Faculty’s representative), which indicates the high demand for university staff at the international level. Following the results of the academic exchange, a report will be prepared on the “Image of the future of the EAEU through the eyes of the scientific and educational community”.
