L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has been implementing a program jointly with the Center for International Programs at the invitation of volunteers in teaching English since 2018. Currently, volunteers from Ethiopia are working at ENU: Jemal Kebir Mohammed and Beyene Israel Moges, at Architecture and Construction and Philological Faculties. Jemal Kebir Mohammed and Beyene Israel Moges gave an interview to the Center for International Programs about their experience at ENU and their impressions about staying in Kazakhstan.

Beyene Israel Moges:
In turn, the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovations at the ENU Baubek Somzhurek expressed confidence that the program of inviting volunteers, implemented by our university jointly with the Center for International Programs, makes an invaluable contribution to the training of domestic staff.
- I would like to thank the Center for International Programs for the first time this year they provided us with volunteers from Ethiopia - Kebir and Israel. One of them today helps a teacher who conducts classes in English at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, and the second - at the Faculty of Philology. In general, we have this practice first time, and I hope that it will continue. Why? I do not say that we have a shortage of personnel with knowledge of English, but, nevertheless, thanks to such volunteers, the quality of teaching subjects in English can be improved,” says Baubek Somzhurek. - I would like to note that there are 15 programs taught in English at the Eurasian National University and such volunteers are simply necessary today.
