On January 28, a holiday “Day of National Cuisine” was organized for foreign students of ENU living in Student House No. 7. The event was organized by Akbota Zholdasbekova, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovations, and employees of the Department of International Cooperation.
National cuisine and national dishes are centuries-old traditions that any person values, keeping all secrets and passing them from generation to generation, these are recipes for preparing a wide variety of dishes. Joint cooking brings together and unites people of different nationalities, making it possible to familiarize each other with the traditions and customs of their people. Students prepared Tajik, Turkmen and Uzbek pilav, bauyrsaks and chak-chak.
The event was attended by Rector Yerlan Sydykov, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Duman Aitmagambetov, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Anna Yessengalieva. The rector discussed about the university, the achievements and successes of ENU, as well as plans for the future. He also noted that ENU is becoming one of the recognized educational institutions in the international educational society.
Students expressed gratitude for the interesting meeting at the end of the event. In turn, the organizers of the event wished students success in their studies, noting that employees of the Department of International Cooperation are always ready to provide assistance and support in their endeavors.
