The Department of Tourism of L.N. Gumilyov ENU organized an excursion route to the mausoleum of Kabanbay Batyr
For the 333rd anniversary of Karakerei Kabanbay Batyr, the Department of Tourism of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov organized an excursion route to the mausoleum of Kabanbay Batyr. The excursion route includes bows to the Heroes on the Square of Defenders of the Motherland, a visit to the holy place, and inspection of the mausoleum.
The tour route was attended by employees and teachers of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, as well as students of the Silver University.
The Mausoleum of Kabanbay Batyr is located 30 km south of the city of Astana and 4 km northeast of the village of Kyzylzhar, Akmola region. The mausoleum was built in 2000. Today it has become one of the holy places of Kazakhstanis and tourists from all over the world. The mausoleum resembles a hero's helmet. The straight shapes of the upper wall of the mausoleum, made of red brick, hint at height. At the top of the monument is an iron crescent.
In general, Karakerey Kabanbay, whose name is well known in history, is the commander of the Kazakh batyrs, one of the famous warriors, a historical figure who organized a liberation uprising against the Dzungar invasion in the 18th century. His name is known in the history of the Kazakh people along with Abylay Khan and Bogenbay Batyr. Batyr's name was Erasyl, he was born around 1691 and died in 1769 at the age of 78. It is known from history that the commander Kabanbai batyr was one of the main heroes of Ablai Khan, and the khan called him Daraboz with special respect.
The Mausoleum of Kabanbai Batyr is a symbol of the unity of the Kazakh people in the face of danger and serves as a triumph of historical justice near the city of Astana.
