EURASIANS IN HISTORICAL BABYLON, IRAQ
The Fourth International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering and Warith International Conference of Engineering Sciences was held at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Kerabla, Iraq,) on 17- 22 April 2024. There were both offline and online presentations among the papers heard in the Geotechnical Engineering track. The reports of scientists from Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, Turkey, China, South Korea, India, Iraq, Iran, Canada, and from other countries of the world were of great interest.
The International Conference was attended by renowned scientists in the discipline of Geotechnics such as: Prof. Nikolai Vatin (Russia), Dr. Mohanad Sabri (Russia), Prof. Deepankar Choudhurt (India), Prof. Shakir Falih Al-Busaltan (Iraq), Prof. Ahmed Al-Mufty (Canada), Prof. Miload Jovanovki (Macedonia), Prof. Ali Komak Panah (Iran), Prof. Ramli Nazir (Malaysia), Prof. Anil Joseph (India), Prof. Mahdi Karkush (Iraq), Prof. Eun - Chul Shin (South Korea), Dr. Mohannad Mhanna (Syria) and other renowned scientists from all over the world.
The presentation on "Evaluation of the effectiveness of methods for testing piles in soil conditions in Astana" was presented by a team of authors (Zhussupbekov A., Tleulenova G., Omarov A., and Zhumadilov I., as well as young-scientists doctoral Students of the Eurasian National University: Issakulov A., and Mukhanov D.,). Professor of the Department of "Civil Engineering" L.N. Gumilev ENU Zhussupbekov A. told in the keynote lecture about testing pile foundations in difficult ground conditions new mosque in the city of Astana.
The main objective of the conference is to exchange scientific ideas as well as to familiarize with advanced geotechnologies. Famous and leading specialists, world scientists in the field of geotechnics presented presentations on modern methods of investigation of soil and foundations. About 600 participants from 20 countries took part in the conference.

At this conference our scientists also reviewed of the articles of foreign scientists and gave marks for acceptance of peer-reviewed articles. Reviewers of L.N. Gumilev ENU Professor of the Department of "Civil Engineering" A.S. Tuleubekova, and Ph.D., Senior Lecturer of the Department of "Civil Engineering" A.R. During the conference, technical tours were conducted to Babylon, as well as to one of the largest mosques in Iraq, the "Imam Ali Mosque", located in the city of Al-Najaf, Iraq. This mosque is considered one of the holy and revered sites among Shia Muslims along with Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem and Mashhad.
