The scientific library of the scientist in organic chemistry, Aksartov Mendel Magazovich, has been gifted by his son to the Institute of Applied Chemistry (director Suleimen Yerlan Melsuly). In total, 302 titles of books, lectures, scientific journals, textbooks, teaching aids and author's abstracts were donated.
Aksartov Mendel Magazovich (1943-2016) - candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, worked for a long time at the Karaganda State University named after academician E.A. Buketov at the department of organic chemistry and polymers.
He defended his thesis at KazGU named after C.M. Kirov in 1980 on the theme "Synthesis and study of carboranyl-substituted nitroalkanes and their derivatives" under supervision of Professor A.V. Kazantsev. He has over 82 scientific publications and 72 scientific and methodical publications, the author of 4 inventions, under his leadership 2 people defended candidate dissertations. Participated in the preparation of students in the chemical field in the lyceums of Karaganda. The direction of his research is the chemistry of organoboron compounds, carboranes. For a long time he worked with Professor Kazantsev A.V, we reported earlier about joint research (http://www.enu.kz/ru/info/novosti-enu/40745/?sphrase_id=974507).
The Institute of Applied Chemistry, which is headed by Suleimen Yerlan Melsuly, is an advanced research center of the university. The scientific center is equipped with modern equipment, employees have high qualifications, the institute staff publishes articles with a high impact factor, closely collaborates with leading scientific centers from different countries. Here, students, undergraduates and doctoral students perform scientific work and show high results.
We express our gratitude to R. Aksartov and we wish our scientists creative achievements and scientific discoveries!
