Functions of PVD

• planning, organization, supply of carrying out official events of university with the participation of international representatives, and also heads of state organs, social figures, and representatives of business of RK (meetings of Rector and the direction of university with foreign visitors; lectures of high standing guests);
• 
  
• assistance in carrying out of international conferences, forums, seminars at different levels;
• 
  
• legalisation of visa support and registration of foreign students and teachers during their stay at ENU, consultations and visa support to PTS and employees of ENU.

Protocol work

The department is actively involved in issues of interrelations of ENU with foreign countries, their subjects and organizations.

Organizational events are:

• Concordance, composition, expansion of necessary normative documentation (plans of events, scenarios of meetings, programs of receiving foreign delegations);
• Ensuring of protocol norm observance in conducting meetings and events of university;
• Control of protocol norm observance and etiquette of university in conducting local events (conferences, exhibitions, meetings, collegiums, contests, etc.), assistance and rendering in carrying out of them with corresponding subdivisions of the university.
• Conduct of Protocols of meetings of Rector and direction of the university with foreign partners, and also official representatives of authority, science, culture and business of RK;
• Compiling and distribution of information concerning events are at the official site of the university (calendar of planned events).

Passport-visa work

Visa-record events are:

• Record and registration of foreign citizens, who study at L.N. Gumilyov ENU. Arrangement to migration registration in MMP of DIA of Astana city. Registration of visa support;
• Registration of invitations and visa support to professors, who are coming from abroad to give lectures on PhD programs and other projects and programs;
• Preparation and registration of documents of employees, scientific-pedagogical staff of the university, who are going to business trip abroad.
