According to the Rules for Payment of State Scholarships to Certain Categories of Students in Educational Institutions, approved by Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No.116 dated February 07, 2008
The state scholarship shall be paid to students who study under the government order, and to students transferred to study under the government order.
The scholarship shall be paid to students, who successfully, with “good” and “excellent” marks, passed exams. Those who did not passed exams in time for valid reasons (sickness, family reasons), management of the institution shall set individual terms for passing exams after such students have presented confirming documents.
Students – orphans and children left without parental care – shall get the scholarship in case of absence of unsatisfactory ratings over the results of examinations.
For the period of summer holidays the scholarship is going to be paid in total, for two months (July, August).
Students nominated to the 1st year shall get their scholarship monthly, starting from September 1, in the first semester. Further the scholarship is going to be paid pursuant to results of exams.
Scholarship is not going to be paid to students being on an academic leave except for the academic leave granted based on a medical report. Students who have tuberculosis and are on the academic leave shall get their scholarship in the period of their sickness, but not more than ten months of sickness.
In the period of maternity leave of students the scholarship is not going to be paid.
Payment of scholarship stops:
1) if the student is dismissed;
2) if the student died;
3) after issuance of the order regarding completion of education and graduation of the student.
