By tradition, the event is organized for foreign students arriving under the academic mobility program, as well as students of the preparatory department and full-time students at L.N. Gumilyov ENU and for partner universities of France, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, China, Russia, Turkey, South Korea.
The evening program included presentations from students from France, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Turkey, South Korea and students from India as part of the G-Global forum, as well as dance numbers from each country represented, the game. All active participants were awarded memorable prizes, as well as prize (1,2,3) places. One of the most memorable moments was the presentation of the Republic of Turkmenistan. Their group folk dance captured all the spectators, in addition, they became the winners of this event. The second place was taken by the mountainous Republic of Tajikistan, the third place went to Mongolia.
As students noted, “... this is really a wonderful event that helps us to know and feel the traditions and culture of Kazakhstan.” For example, student Dilafruz of the Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics emphasized: “Holding such an“ International Day ”is a very good idea, it unites us very much.” The student also noted that she had chosen L.N. Gumilyova ENU on the advice of her friends, who also studied at our university under the academic mobility program.
Recall, “International Day” is held twice a year in the autumn and spring semesters in order to meet students, socio-cultural adaptation of students, spiritual rapprochement of representatives of different nationalities.
For these purposes, since 2018, the Welcome Center has been operating in the structure of the Department of International Cooperation.
According to the academic mobility program, 94 foreign students from countries such as Germany, France, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, the Russian Federation, South Korea, China and other countries study in the fall semester.
