For the second year on the site of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University the gala concert of the Kazakhstan Anna German Song Festival is held. This event is organized by the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (Head of the Department is E.A. Zhuravleva) within the framework of the activities of the Polish Language and Culture Center, and cooperation with the public association "Polska Jedno.jić" (Vice-President is Rinat Dusumov), with the support of the Fund "Assistance to Poles in the East." Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Kazakhstan Selim Khazbievich became an honored guest of the gala concert.
On November 16th , teachers of the department, leaders of Polish societies and artists shared their experience in teaching languages and moral enrichment from the interaction of national cultures at the round table "Learning and preserving the language through songs" dedicated to the memory of Soviet and Polish singer Anna German. The guests and active participants of the round table were: the teacher of the Polish language and wife of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Anna Bochkovska; Kazakh-Russian singer, teacher of the Novosibirsk regional college of culture and art Svetlana Nemolochnova; music expert of the festival, deputy chairman of the Pavlodar regional society of Poles "Polonia" head of two polonium groups "Syrena" and "Nartsiz" Marina Ershova; soloist of Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after U.Ybyray Elmira Kamarnitskaya; Chairman of the Union of Poles "Polonia" of the Astrakhan district of Akmola region Ruslana Snegurskaya; the singer and activist of Kostanay regional society of Poles "Nadzija" Valentina Krychinskaya; Master of the Polish Language, Head of the Polish Language and Culture Centre Agnieszka Yermolovich; teachers of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics and students The participants of the round table were welcomed by Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Philology L.S. Sabitova and N.S. Kassymbekova.
The purpose of the round table is to preserve the cultural heritage of the peoples of multi-ethnic Kazakh society within the framework of the program "Ruhani zhangyru." Issues of songs’ influence on the process of language teaching and preservation of culture were discussed. Students K. Kolmagorova and A. Kurmanbayeva prepared and presented to the guests a presentation about Anna Hermann’s life and work. Young artists - winners of Anna German Republican song contest, who came to Nur-Sultan from different cities of Kazakhstan, took active part in the discussion. Holding a round table becomes a good tradition of the department.
The gala concert was the final stage of Anna German Republican festival of song "Echo of Love." Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Kazakhstan Selim Khazbievich and Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics Professor E.A. Zhuravleva delivered a welcoming speech at the Opening.
The concert featured the most famous and favorite songs from Anna German's repertoire in Russian and Polish. They were performed by the finalists of the song contest from Nur-Sultan, Pavlodar, Kostanay, Stepnogorsk and Akmola region. The students of the Eurasian National University Madina Tumpesova (1st year student of specialty "Philosophy") and duo "Fly me to the moon" Muhamedali Aitmagambet and Jasmina Maratova (1st year students of specialty "Information Systems") also participated in the concert. Before the performance all participants visited master classes of the singer and teacher of Novosibirsk regional college of culture and art Svetlana Nemolochnova.
18 musical compositions, reflecting one or another facet of the work of the Soviet and Polish singer Anna German, were performed at the concert. The performance of each participant was evaluated in terms of full disclosure of the image of the musical work, the expressiveness of performance and musical taste of the participant, vocal and intonation skills.
According to the results of the contest, the winners in various nominations were awarded memorable statuettes and diplomas of the festival. Elmira Kamarnitskaya, a participant from Kokshetau, received the Grand Prix with the right to represent Kazakhstan at Anna German song festival in Poland. She was awarded the diploma and prize by the last year’s winner Polina Tyrina.
In addition, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Poland presented a special prize of the Embassy to the student of ENU Madina Tlektesova for the song "Tenderness," which was performed for the first time in Polish. The representative of the Polish society, a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Katerina Ostrovskaya also presented special prizes to Arina Lysenko, Elena Kritskaya and the "Polonia" band, whose song experience has been over 30 years.
More than 700 listeners came to the concert. Everyone received great satisfaction from the concert and expressed wishes that such events should be held more often.
All this proves once again that Anna German's songs, sounding with such love and tenderness, performed in different languages, but understood by everyone, as nothing else unites our countries and our hearts!
