From November 26 to 28, representatives of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University took part in the 15th annual strategic summit “QS-APPLE 2019” at Kyushu University (Japan). The theme of this summit is “Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Aging Societies: The Changing Roles of Asia-Pacific Universities.”
The main goal of the summit is not only to understand how universities in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond are ready to use new digital industrial technologies and contribute to the positive growth of society. It is also important to learn how these technological advances can help overcome the impact of an aging population on the global economy.
The summit is attended by over 600 delegates from more than 20 countries. Of course, the vast majority are representatives of universities from countries in the Asian region.
Eurasian National University also took part in the exhibition of the summit.
The exhibition presents the achievements of 70 universities in Japan, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, and Vietnam, including the universities of the top 100 “QS World University ranking”: Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (11th place in the “QS World University ranking”) , Kyoto University (33rd in the QS World University ranking), City University of Hong Kong (52nd in the QS World University ranking), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (91st in the QS World University ranking), etc. d.
The summit is organized by QS and Kyushu University.
Kyushu University is one of Japan's leading research universities. Talented students and outstanding researchers from over 100 countries study and work here. Today the university takes 132nd place in the QS World University ranking and 30th place in the Asian University Ranking.
