Scopus represents the world's largest uniform database which indexes more than 17 000 names of scientific - technical and medical journals about 4 000 international publishing houses.
Scopus provides exact and convenient hyperlinks on full texts of materials. Inclusion of all hyperlinks on full text materials from the CrossRef system covering publications of more than 1500 publishing houses, gives an opportunity for the users to pass full texts of articles independently from, if they are signed on these articles or not. Moreover, Scopus actively adds own hyperlinks on the full text materials which are not included into CrossRef.
The Scopus system is urged to support an efficiency of working process of researchers, helping them:
to look for new articles from the area of their specialization;
to look for information about the author;
to look for articles written by a certain author;
to get an access to information which gives an idea of the certain author;
to receive general or complete idea about new subject domain;
or simply to be informed about events.
