The joint Faculty of Information Technology will be established by ENU and Tajik Technical University

Representatives of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University presented a new program of the joint Faculty of Information Technology at the M.S.Osimi Tajik Technical University (Dushanbe), and also told Tajik students about the prospect of studying at ENU.

Within the framework of the "First International Festival-Exhibition of Universities of Foreign Countries in the Republic of Tajikistan -2024", which was held on April 20-26, 2024 in Dushanbe, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Information Technology Zhanar Akhmetova and an employee of the Department of International Cooperation of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Aitkurman Shalkhybaev paid a working visit to the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi (Dushanbe, Tajikistan). The business meeting was attended by the rector, vice-rector for international cooperation and the management of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of TTU named after academician M.S.Osimi.

During the meeting, the issue of implementation of the joint Faculty of Information Technologies of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, established on the Instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev, within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan E. Rahmon to the Republic of Kazakhstan (May 3-4, 2023, Astana) was discussed.

The meeting was very fruitful and both sides were interested in further cooperation. Career guidance work was carried out with students of the 1-2 courses of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of S.M.Osimi TTU, and explanations were given on the selection and enrollment of TTU students at the Faculty of Information Technology of ENU in the 2024-2025 academic year.

As it was noted during the working meeting of ENU representatives at the Tajik Technical University, in the 2024-2025 academic year, students of this university will be able to study as part of an exchange at our university.

"We discussed with Tajik colleagues issues of interaction within the framework of the joint Faculty of Information Technology, discussed issues of further fruitful cooperation, including sending students to study, as well as the possibility of providing a scholarship program for foreign citizens "Kultegin", held an explanatory conversation with students about the prospect of studying at ENU. We express confidence in preserving the existing relations and hope that most of the tasks outlined will be solved by joint efforts, and our cooperation will be mutually beneficial and fruitful for both universities," - said the deputy dean of the faculty information technology ENU Zhanar Akhmetov.

It should be noted that representatives of universities from CIS countries, Asia, Europe and the USA took part in the first international festival-exhibition of universities of foreign countries "Tajikistan-2024" in Dushanbe. Kazakhstan, in addition to ENU, was also represented by the Academy of Civil Aviation of Almaty and IT University Astana.
