The Scientific Library hosted a literary and educational evening titled “Oyan, qazaq!” dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Mirzhakyp Dulatuly — a prominent figure of the Alash movement, poet, writer, and intellectual whose words became a powerful call for national awakening.
The event was attended by the Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of History, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Nurgul Mukhamedzhanova; the head of the «Tagylym» research club, Zere Zhunusbekova; the Chairman of the Association of Clubs, Alibek Qoylan; the speaker for science and commercialization, Madi Myrzabay; members of the «Tagylym» club, as well as library staff.
The evening opened with a heartfelt poem titled «To M. Dulatuly», recited by journalism student Mukhtar Alibi, which created a special emotional atmosphere to the event.
During the literary evening, autobiographical information about the life and creative legacy of Mirzhakyp Dulatuly was presented, and an intellectual game, «Literary Kahoot», was organized for the participants. The most active readers were awarded incentive prizes, and the event concluded with an engaging discussion.
