
ENU and ASIIN: Development of Strategic International Cooperation




A meeting was held at the university with Dr. Iring Wasser, Managing Director of ASIIN (German Accreditation Agency for Educational Programs in Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics) (Düsseldorf, Germany), and Irina Efimova, representative of ASIIN's office in Central Asian.
ASIIN is one of the leading accreditation agencies and is included in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR). ENU has been cooperating with ASIIN since 2015. Currently, 13 educational programs of the university are accredited by ASIIN.
The university was represented at the meeting by Duman Aitmagambetov, Member of the Management Board and Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization; Larisa Nefedova, Director of the Department of Strategic Development; and Gulzhanar Abdykulova, Head of the Accreditation and Rating Department.
During the meeting, Vice-Rector Duman Aitmagambetov briefed the guests on the university's achievements, new prospects for development as a research university, and future strategic plans. He noted that the university is interested in expanding business partnerships, and such meetings only open up new opportunities for cooperation.
Larisa Nefedova noted the friendly relations and long-term cooperation with ASIIN in the context of accreditation and participation in events held by the agency.
For his part, Dr. Wasser congratulated the university on its achievements and emphasized the importance of its status as a research university. He also discussed the possibility of ENU's participation in the AGUNE Global Network, which would contribute to the development of internationalization and improve the quality of education.
Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed the prospects of involving ENU staff and faculty in seminars and workshops organized by ASIIN, as well as discussed the upcoming reaccreditation of the university's educational programs.
Following the meeting, the guests visited the Center for German Language and Culture.
