
Learners of ENU Silver University met with specialists of traditional Chinese medicine

The Institute of Continuing Education and the Confucius Institute of The L.N. Gumilyov ENU organized a meeting with leading experts in the field of traditional Chinese medicine for students of the Silver University.
The purpose of the event is to introduce the elder generation to the possibilities of traditional Chinese medicine, to talk about disease prevention methods and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The event was attended by experts from China Pan Feng and Gua Feng, head of the Xi'an Clinic in Astana Yerlan Zholdasbai, doctor of traditional Chinese medicine of Kazakhstan Sarah Zhamaliyeva, as well as director of ENU’s Confucius Institute Yang Lei.
The lecturers spoke in detail about the features of traditional Chinese medicine, its treatment methods and experience in the healthcare system.
"It is very important for us to meet with the learners of ENU’s Silver University. Traditional Chinese medicine is a unique system. It is based on centuries-old knowledge and experience. We presented our approaches to disease prevention, health promotion, and rehabilitation. I am confident that such meetings will strengthen scientific and educational cooperation between our countries and open up opportunities for joint projects," Pan Feng said.
During the meeting, Chinese experts presented effective methods in the field of disease prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation. In addition, the students performed a set of health-improving gymnastics and exchanged opinions.
"Today our listeners got acquainted with the international experience. Chinese medicine is distinguished by methods that have been formed for many centuries. Such events broaden professional horizons. We plan to continue holding such meetings," Raikhan Baimaganbetova, senior specialist of ENU’s Institute of Continuing Education said.
At the end of the event, the audience asked the experts questions and received detailed answers.
