Nurbek Saparkhodjaev appointed ENU Vice Rector for Science and Commercialization

By the decision of the Board of Directors of The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nurbek Saparkhodjaev is elected a member of ENU’s Management Board - Vice Rector for Science and Commercialization.

Nurbek Saparkhodjaev – PhD in Information Systems, Associate Professor.

He graduated from The Kanysh Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University, University of Arkansas in the USA under the Bolashak International program, as well as PhD-doctoral studies at The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

He has extensive experience in higher education, science, information technology and management. He started his professional career in 2003 as a systems engineer. Over the years, he has held the positions of lecturer, expert analyst, IT coordinator, project manager, Director of Software Development, Head of the Department, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vice Rector.

In 2021-2024, he held senior positions in the field of higher education, including Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and First Vice-Rector. In 2022-2023 as Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Prior to the appointment to his current position, Nurbek Saparkhodjaev served as Chairman of the Management Board and Rector of the Rudny Industrial University.
