A lecture room of the Eurasian Development Bank is opened at ENU and a scholarship program on PPP is launched

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has launched a scholarship program on public-private partnership (PPP) at The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and opened the EDB lecture room. Thus, education, scientific research and practical experience have been combined on one platform.

According to the organizers, students now have the opportunity to receive a scholarship from the Eurasian Development Bank to conduct research in the field of PPP. The scholarship program is aimed at supporting talented students interested in studying public-private partnership in Kazakhstan and its practical development.

A competitive selection is carried out within the framework of the program. The winners of the competition will receive a scholarship of $ 600 during the research period, as well as the opportunity to receive expert advice. In addition, they will be able to present the results of their work at events organized by the EDB, as well as in the Bank's member countries, including at international seminars for EDB fellows on PPP.

"The lecture room of the Eurasian Development Bank, which opened at ENU, is equipped with modern multimedia equipment and decorated in the corporate style of the EDB and ENU. The auditorium will become a platform for lectures and seminars on PPP and integration processes in the Eurasian space, project sessions, expert discussions, scientific and practical conferences," Ardak Beisenbai, ENU Vice Rector for Academic Affairs said.

According to Svetlana Maslova, EDB's Director of PPP Projects, the new program will allow students to form a professional orientation at an early stage and develop project analysis skills.

"The EDB PPP Scholarship Program allows students to gain early professional orientation and develop project analysis skills. The international orientation of the program, in turn, creates conditions for conducting a comparative assessment of national PPP models of all EDB member countries. As a result, a talent pool is being formed that is able to participate in the development and implementation of PPP projects not only in Kazakhstan, but throughout the Eurasian space," Svetlana Maslova said.
