Key areas of the partnership include academic exchanges for students and faculty, dual-degree programs, and joint research. Particular attention will be paid to developing cooperation in journalism, digital media, public relations, and media convergence.
“The agreement will strengthen ties between universities in Kazakhstan and China in education, science, and academic exchange, while also paving the way for a long-term strategic partnership between L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the Communication University of China,” said Abzal Taltenov, ENU Acting Vice Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization, in his welcoming remarks.
The parties discussed strengthening institutional cooperation, developing joint educational and research initiatives, and building long-term academic ties.
The delegation from the Communication University of China was led by Professor Zhao Ruhan of the School of Information and Communication, Director of the European Media Research Center, and Associate Professor Gan Lu.
“The memorandum will enable us to work on joint educational and research projects, develop academic exchanges, organize lectures and research seminars, and strengthen research ties among master’s and doctoral students,” Professor Zhao Ruhan said.
